How do I request services?

STEP 1 - Apply and be accepted to North Shore Community College.

STEP 2 - Download and complete the appropriate Disability Services packet(s):

• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (pdf)
• Blind or Low Vision (pdf)
• Deaf or Hard of Hearing (pdf)
• Learning Disability (pdf)
• Medical Disability (pdf)
• Pervasive Developmental Disability (pdf)
• Psychological Disability (pdf)

STEP 3 - A disabilities counselor will contact you to schedule a personal appointment.

Mission

The Mission of Disability Services is to foster and provide an optimal educational experience for students with disabilities, while also complying with the spirit of the law.  Our goal is to establish and engage in a mutual ongoing partnership with the students that we serve. 

Through this collaboration, disability services personnel work toward assisting students in maximizing their academic potential while also promoting self-awareness, self-advocacy, and ultimately, personal responsibility and independence.
