Many problems with Campus Pipeline, email and online courses may be caused
by firewall software (such as ZoneAlarm or Norton Personal Firewall) or ad-blocking
software. If you have this type of software installed, try disabling it and
see if it solves the problem.

Solution |
| I don't see my online course listed when I log into Blackboard. |
- Be sure you are registered for the course.
- Check the date that classes begin. Many courses are not available
until the first official day of classes.
- Check from another computer. It could be that the computer you’re
accessing Blackboard from has a firewall installed. (This is especially
likely if you’re accessing it from work.) To be able to see your
course, you will need to disable the firewall or to open up port 8085.
- If you’re still having problems, contact the HelpDesk.

| I can't access Campus Pipeline from my home
system and my Internet Service Provider is MSN or Earthlink |
Earthlink / Mindspring and older versions
of AOL browsers don't work with Campus Pipeline. Minimize your Earthlink
/ Mindspring or AOL browser and access Pipeline with Internet Explorer |
| My username and password
information does not log me into Campus Pipeline
|
Click on the "forgot
username" or "forgot password" link under the Campus Pipeline
log in box to reset your password or retrieve your username. |
| I can't use my Campus Pipeline email. I log
in okay, but when I click on the email icon, nothing happens |
You probably have software installed that
blocks ads and/or pop-up windows. Campus Pipeline uses pop-up windows
for email, so by blocking all pop-ups, you?re also disabling your email.
You need to turn the ad-blocking software off or remove it from your computer. |
| I can not open an email
attachment that was sent to me
|
The most common reason
for not being able to open an attachment that was sent to you is because
you do not have the right software application on your computer. You will
need to reply to the author asking him/her to resend the attachment as
well as informing you as to how the file was created. If you know the
document is a word processor file, tell the author what word processing
program you have. He/she can probably easily translate and send the attachment
back to you. If the file is a graphic, as long as it is a jpg or gif,
your browser should be able to open it. |
| I am not receiving email from my instructor
or an individual user, but I receive all other email. |
You may have accidentally blocked email from
your instructor or another individual.
Try this:
- Log into Pipeline and click on the Email icon
- Click on the "Options" tab
- Click on "Blocked Addresses"
- See if your instructor's email address or another user is in the "Blocked
Addresses" box.
- If it is, click on the address to select it with your mouse.
- Click on "Remove". You should no longer see the email address
in the "Blocked Addresses" box.
|
| I'm sending my files through
the Digital Drop Box but my instructor is not receiving them. |
Be sure you click on the
"Send File" button and NOT the "Add File" button in the
Digital Drop Box. If you click on "Add File" your instructor will not
receive the file |
| All of my courses that I am enrolled in don't
appear under the My Courses tab. |
You must call or email the helpdesk and provide
your Campus Pipeline username. Helpdesk staff will rectify the problem |
