Office of AdmissionsStep 1: Choose a Program of StudyBefore applying, you must choose a program of study from our list of associate degree & certificate programs. Make sure to check program availability before making your final decision. If your goals include transferring to a 4-year college, you should research your options through transfer services. If you need help deciding on a program, contact our Lynn office at (781) 477-2107, our Danvers office at (978) 762-4188, or email info@northshore.edu. Step 2: Apply to Your ProgramOnce you have decided on a program, follow the instructions to apply online or use the mail-in / fax-in admissions application (pdf 547k ). There is a separate process for international students. Step 3: Apply for Financial AidMost students rely on some form of financial aid to help pay the cost of attending NSCC. You should begin the application process as soon as possible in order to determine your eligibility for many different types of financial aid including grants (free money), student loans and work-study. For full-time students, it costs approximately $1,392 per semester for courses. Step 4: Take your Placement TestsOK. At this point you will have been accepted to NSCC. Congratulations! Now it's your responsibility to take your placement tests. Your scores on these tests will help determine which courses you should take first. These tests are free and can be taken on a walk-in basis. Step 5: Register for CoursesMost students register online using their Campus Pipeline accounts. Step-by-step instructions are available. To register in person, visit the the Lynn or Danvers Enrollment Center between 8am and 7pm, M-Th or 8am and 5pm on Friday. You may also register using the Mail-In/Fax-In Registration /includesForm (pdf). |
