NSCC Foundation, Inc.
Scholarship Program
The North Shore Community College Foundation, Inc. awards financial assistance to students annually through its Scholarship Program. Recipients are selected on a competitive basis, in consideration of both academic and non-academic factors, as well as financial need.
The Foundation administers more than 80 named and corporate scholarship funds. Some scholarships are designated for students pursuing a particular field of study or for those from a specific geographic area. Through a careful selection process, the Foundation Scholarship Committee matches eligible applicants to the criteria for each scholarship.
Most scholarships are awarded to returning NSCC students who are currently enrolled at North Shore Community College. Other scholarships are limited to new, incoming students, recent high school graduates and part-time students.
In January of each year, the NSCC Development Office distributes a Foundation Scholarship Application. Applications are available at the Development Office in Danvers, Student Support Centers in Danvers and Lynn and Financial Aid Offices at Danvers and Lynn. The deadline to return the completed application and letter of recommendation is the beginning of March. Students are notified if they have received a scholarship in May of each year. The scholarship is applied to the fall of that year, and if a renewable scholarship, again in the spring of the following year.
