Citing Your Resources
NSCC recommends using either the MLA (Modern Language Association) or APA (American Psychological Association) style of citing sources in an essay or research paper.
The following Website will help in citing your resources:
NoodleBib 6 (you will be asked to enter your library card number)
Generate, edit, and publish an MLA Works Cited list or APA References list that complies with the rules of the current MLA Handbook (6th ed.) and APA Manual (5th ed.). NoodleBib takes care of punctuation, alphabetization and formatting, producing a polished source list for import into Word.
The libraries also have the following MLA and APA manuals to help you in this process:
MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers
REF LB 2369 .G53
MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing
REF PN 147 .G444
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association
REF BF 76.7 .P83
Concise Rules of APA Style
