Charge Detail

These costs are charges that have been posted or added to your account. Charges consist of the following types:

Tuition: NSCC currently charges $25 per credit for all credit courses.

Student Health Insurance: Per State mandate, all students enrolled in nine (9) credits or more are assessed a health insurance charge. You may waive the insurance charge upon proof of comparable coverage. This fee does not apply in the summer.

Bookstore Charge: Some financial aid recipients may be allowed to charge books at the NSCC Bookstore. Please contact the Financial Aid Office.

College Fees: NSCC charges $91 per credit for College fees. This mandatory fee is used to pay all part-time faculty and staff as well as rents, utilities, etc.

MASSPIRG Fee: MASSPIRG is a non-profit lobby group that is supported by the students. It addresses environmental issues as well as assisting the homeless, etc. There is a $9 charge assessed to all students enrolled in credit courses. This is a waivable fee (see forms and publications). This fee does not apply in the summer.

Technology Fee: NSCC has assessed a mandatory technology fee of $5 per credit to every credit class. This fee is used to support constantly enhanced technology.

Credit Detail

These costs have been credited or waived from your account. Types of credits or waivers consist of the following:

Health Insurance Third Party Waiver: This indicates that the student has submitted a waiver for health insurance.

MASSPIRG Third Party Waiver: This indicates that the student has submitted a waiver for the MASSPIRG fee.

Memos: The memos indicate potential estimated Financial Aid Awards. Notice that they do not deduct from the balance due. This aid is only estimated - not authorized.
