Access to College Campuses
North Shore Community College strives to provide open access to its programs and services to all persons in its community. The College does limit the use of and access to its facilities, grounds and areas to purposes consistent with our mission. Persons or activities that interfere with the College's mission, or which pose an unreasonable risk to the health or safety of the College community are prohibited.
Access to the facilities and grounds of the Danvers and Lynn campuses are exclusively for students, faculty, staff, and persons with College business.
The Cumming Center Properties, Essex Agricultural Technical Institute, & the MBTA building are shared with other businesses and interests. Common areas such as hallways, stairwells, elevators, bathrooms, entranceways, and parking areas made be shared. The College campuses are maintained to promote a clean and safe environment in which learning is fostered. On a continuing basis, both the Campus Police and the Facilities Management departments inspect the lighting, safety/security devices, and the environment to ensure all are in good working order. Deficiencies are promptly corrected. The College grounds are landscaped with concern for individuals' safety and security.
The College staff maintains the Lynn and Danvers campuses. The Cummings Center Properties Essex Agricultural Technical Institute, & MBTA building are maintained by the property owner/manager. The Campus Police and the Facilities Management departments report safety and security concerns to the property owner/manager and monitors the resolution of such concerns.
